i was told that once you get cold sores you never get rid of them. is that true? how often will i get them? do lots of npeople have cold sores? how to prevent gtting cols sores
thanks cos i am really upset i didn’t even kiss anyone with cold sores and i got it. and my partner has never had a cold sore, son i just touched someone.

Sorry but cold sores come and go,I usually get one once a year(when it gets very cold) cold sores are just some things certain people get, they get a lot more

How to get rid of a cold sore pronto!!!!!!!?
So a cold sore started to form yesterday not really showing yet but it’s in the phase where it’s starting to become noticeable I have a party to go to on saturday and it’s with friends I haven’t seen forever and I don’t want to look gross. Help!

Vegan alternative to carmex for cold sores?
I get cold sores (at least I think they’re cold sores), and they stay forEVER. I hate them.
I used to use carmex.
Then I went vegan.
And then I started getting cold sores. (I don’t even know how. I don’t share drinks, and I’ve never been kissed. Ugh. Way to reward a teen for innocent behavior.)
But I’d like to get rid of them… because now I have three. One is almost gone, but I’ve had it for two weeks. Another one is leaving, but I just got a new one yesterday…

Somebody asked what’s not vegan about carmex.
Carmex, like most chapstick-related things, has lanolin in it. Lanolin comes from sheep.
Someone else said that lanolin/shearing sheep does not hurt the sheep. With nice farmers, that is probably the case. But commercial wool and most lanolin probably come from not so animal-friendly sources. I read somewhere that the workers sheer the sheep as quickly as possible–they’re paid for how much they sheer, not how long they work. And their haste results in the sheep getting hurt. I know that sheering sheep is just like getting a haircut–but if the people doing the sheering are careless, the sheep get cut.

Try tea tree oil. It’s a natural antiseptic and is reported to work wonderfully on cold sores.
A relative has dealt with cold sores throughout his entire life (that must suck as a kid), but he hasn’t had one since he started using tea tree oil to treat blemishes. Although he’s not sure if he can officially thank the oil, he applied it whenever he felt that telltale tingling and nothing ever appeared. If/when he does get another one (knock on wood), he will definitely use tea tree oil to treat it.
Whatever you try, I sincerely hope it works!

I have like a cold sore pimple thing under my nose!!!!!?
I have like a bumbpy pimply thing under my nose. I think it might be a cold sore. I have had a cold forever and always blow my noe I DO NOT PICK MY NOSE. And I need to know how to get rid of it fast! I have to go to a wedding in like 3 days!
